Investimento estrangeiro no Brasil mais do que dobra em 2021,

O investimento estrangeiro direto (IED) no Brasil cresceu mais de 100% no ano passado e o país ganhou uma posição no ranking de principais destinos que atraíram recursos de investidores estrangeiros para o setor produtivo.

O investimento estrangeiro direto (IED) no Brasil cresceu mais de 100% no ano passado e o país ganhou uma posição no ranking de principais destinos que atraíram recursos de investidores estrangeiros para o setor produtivo. Em 2021, foi o sétimo, atrás de EUA, China, Hong Kong, Singapura, Reino Unido e Canadá. Foram US$ 60 bilhões destinados ao país, segundo a Conferência das Nações Unidas sobre Comércio de Desenvolvimento (Unctad, na sigla em inglês).

No mundo, segundo a agência, o fluxo de investimento estrangeiro direto teve um crescimento de 77%, passando de US$ 929 bilhões, em 2020, para uma estimativa de US$ 1,65 bilhões. A expansão não foi homogênea. O movimento foi liderado pelas economias desenvolvidas, que registraram um crescimento de 199% nos valores.

Os dados diferem dos do Banco Central. Nos 12 meses encerrados em novembro, o investimento direto no país foi de US$ 51,5 bilhões, 30,4% a mais do que no mesmo período anterior.
