Senado aprova empréstimo de US$ 1 bi para programa emergencial

O plenário do Senado aprovou, nesta quarta-feira (10), a contratação de empréstimo no valor de US$ 1 bilhão (cerca de R$ 4,5 bilhões) entre o governo brasileiro e o Bird (Banco Internacional para Reconstrução e Desenvolvimento).

Os recursos são destinados ao programa emergencial de apoio à renda de populações vulneráveis afetadas pela pandemia da covid-19 no país – como auxílio emergencial, Bolsa Família e o seguro-desemprego. O texto vai à sanção presidencial.

A quantia será alocada nos ministérios da Economia e da Cidadania. O prazo de desembolso vai até 31 de dezembro de 2022. Já o prazo do empréstimo é de 10 anos e meio, sendo cinco anos de carência. A amortização deverá ser realizada mediante o pagamento de 11 parcelas semestrais, consecutivas e iguais.
