O presidente Jair Bolsonaro sancionou a lei que reconhece a atividade de compositor como profissão artística.

De acordo com a norma, compositor é o autor de obras musicais, com ou sem letra, que sejam expressas por qualquer meio ou fixadas em qualquer suporte, conhecido ou que se invente no futuro.

A Lei 14.258/21 foi publicada no Diário Oficial da União desta segunda-feira (6).

O texto é originário do Projeto de Lei 4308/12, do Senado, aprovado em outubro pela Câmara dos Deputados.

O Dia do Compositor Brasileiro é celebrado anualmente em 7 de outubro.
